The Restless Lens hits the road.
Week 22 began where so many of my photographs begin: in good old New York City. A few days later, however, I found myself in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, where the thermometer claims it’s 92 degrees, but the “feels like” forecast insists it’s closer to 110. At this point, I’m not sure whether I’m sightseeing or impersonating a rotisserie chicken.
Fortunately, my camera hasn’t melted yet.
This week’s collection includes a mix of street scenes and beach scenes gathered during just a day and a half of wandering around Puerto Vallarta. There are fishermen, sunsets, silhouettes, reflections, pelicans, and the usual assortment of people going about their lives while I lurk nearby with a camera.
The trip is just getting started, so consider this a preview. If all goes according to plan—and if neither I nor the camera bursts into flames—there will be plenty more from Mexico in next week’s edition of The Restless Lens.
For now, here’s Week 22.
