I'm two-handed again!

Restless Lens Week 12 is in the books—and it felt like everything finally came together.
For the first time in a while, I’m back to being a two-handed photographer again, which makes a bigger difference than I realized. Combine that with a stretch of genuinely beautiful weather and streets that were full of people, and suddenly the city felt wide open again—like it was inviting me to pay attention. And I did.
This week’s collection leans heavily toward street portraits. When the light is good and the sidewalks are busy, it’s hard to resist the pull of faces—expressions, gestures, fleeting moments that feel like they’re about to disappear if you hesitate for even a second. (A couple of those portraits are dogs, of course.) There are also a few abstracts/conceptual photos mixed in, the kind that emerge when something catches your eye for reasons you can’t quite explain, but you know there’s a photograph there if you’re quick enough.
There are a couple of dogs, because there are always a couple of dogs. And there’s the usual New York weirdness—the small, slightly absurd moments that seem to materialize out of nowhere and then vanish just as quickly. Thank you, Washington Square Park.
All told, it’s a larger set than usual—over 50 images—and it feels like a good snapshot of what the city was offering this week, and what my eye was drawn to.
Here’s what caught my attention.
