Warmer weather means more people on the streets, and more photos on the blog.

Another week in the books, and, finally, the kind of weather that makes it hard to stay indoors. Which, for me, usually means one thing: more wandering, less planning, and an iPhone that spent more time out of my pocket than in it.

I found myself out more often than usual, drifting through neighborhoods, doubling back on familiar streets, and letting the day unfold instead of chasing anything specific. Not surprisingly, the usual cast of characters showed up. Dogs with places to be. Cats with absolutely no intention of going anywhere. Pigeons, equal parts nuisance and model citizen. And, of course, the subway—still one of the best unscripted stages in the city.

There’s something reassuring about all of this. You start to realize that it’s not about finding something new every time. It's about seeing the familiar a little differently.

What you’ll see here is a mix from the week—moments that caught my eye for one reason or another. Nothing grand, nothing staged. Just slices of the everyday.
