A weekly look at what caught my eye

For four of the past five years, I’ve been doing a One Photo a Day project, posting daily somewhere on social media—Facebook consistently; this blog, less so than I hoped (my fault). It’s been an exercise in looking closely, staying present, and holding myself to a steady creative habit. I’ve loved the discipline of it, but life has a way of intervening.
With rotator cuff surgery coming up, I know my ability to hold a camera—and wander around with it the way I like—will be limited for a while. Rather than force a daily obligation that could quickly turn into a chore, I’m shifting gears and trying something new: Restless Lens Weekly.
The idea is simple. Once a week, I’ll share a small collection of photographs made during those days—whatever caught my eye, whatever stopped me in my tracks, whatever my restless lens happened to notice. Some weeks there may be a lot. Some weeks, not so many (I’m fully prepared to blame my rotator cuff for that). And that’s okay.
It feels like a better fit for where I am right now: less pressure, more room to breathe, and still a reason to keep looking. As always, thanks for coming along.
Here’s what caught my eye this week.
