Restless Lens Week 42: Oct 14 - 20. From New York to The Nile

Week 42 of The Restless Lens has come and gone, and this week's collection has taken a rather dramatic geographical turn.
The first part of the week was business as usual in New York: pigeons, subways, architecture, street art, and the assorted weirdos and weirdness that always seems to find its way into my iPhone.
But the last two days were spent in Cairo, Egypt, and suddenly my street photography looks very different indeed.
For starters, there are a lot fewer pigeons. Actually, none. On the other hand, there are cats everywhere, which, as you can imagine, suits me just fine.
And then there are the streets themselves. The architecture, the markets, the people, the colors, the textures, the sheer visual chaos of it all. It's about as different from my usual New York surroundings as you can imagine, and I've been having a blast photographing it.
So this week's collection is a bit of a photographic split personality: part New York, part Cairo, with plenty to look at in both.
Next week, it'll be all Egypt. Enjoy! (It's a lot of photos, but it's pretty cool stuff.)
